Growing guides: how to choose the right equipment
LED grow lights or other lighting?
LED uses less power and gives off less heat, so you need less ventilation. Check the real wattage drawn, the light output (PPF) and whether the light dims.
Ventilation and carbon filter
An inline fan removes heat and humidity; a carbon filter stops odour. Choose a fan with a little more capacity than your tent volume and a speed controller to keep noise down.
Starter checklist
Tent, light with timer, fan with filter, small clip-on fan, thermo-hygrometer, pots and media, pH meter. With this basic kit you’re ready to begin.
